American Express is looking to create innovative Banking products and services for Consumers and Small Businesses, including checking accounts, personal savings, and debit cards. The role aims to shape the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for these new American Express Banking Products.
Requirements
- Detail technical knowledge of API’s
- Detail understanding and practice in SAFE agile framework
- Experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies
- Proven track record managing large, complex products with multiple partners
- Digital Banking experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- leads a scrum team responsible for the development and deployment of Core Banking Capabilities and/or APIs.
- ensures that the Product meets the evolving needs of the enterprise through continual innovation, evaluation and deployment.
- Coordinates the efforts of a scrum team within a SAFE train to deploy the new features across markets and products.
- working key features/user stories with the scrum team
- Translates product roadmap into well-defined product requirements/user stories and acceptance test criteria
- Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog consistent with the Outcomes and Product Roadmap and performs story elaboration with the implementation team
- Partner with the design and technology teams to develop, test and deliver the defined capabilities and rapidly iterate new solutions.

- Banking Domain knowledge specific to Core banking, money movement and banking customer role management and access
- Communicates and build consensus across disciplines in crafting the product roadmap
- Work with leadership to define and articulate a long-term product strategy and roadmap with clearly defined business metrics and targets
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management with proven track record in defining winning product constructs and delivering a product vision and strategy
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
