Colonial Pipeline Company is seeking a Manager, Field Technology Applications to lead a team in developing and optimizing mission-critical field applications that support their 5,500-mile pipeline infrastructure, aiming to revolutionize the energy industry and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations through cutting-edge technology solutions.
Requirements
- Expertise in Operations software and hardware; SDLC, Agile, SCRUM methodologies; Field automation, PLCs, MQTT, Ignition; Data historian systems (e.g., PI Historian); Cloud and on-premises development; Secure coding and AI integration.
- Preferred Certifications: SCRUM Master, Google Cloud Digital Leader, Generative AI Leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead and empower a team of software engineers and system administrators supporting field applications tied to SCADA and the suite of applications that manage the full lifecycle of pipeline product movement, Noms-to-Cash.
- Drive innovation through strategic projects like the Controls Modernization Project (CMP) and SCADA Modernization Project (SMP).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, and vendor partners to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Champion excellence by fostering a culture rooted in safety, integrity, respect, innovation, and teamwork.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Ideally, 8+ years in operations or industrial controls software development, including 2+ years in management.
