Datadog is looking to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by building tools, systems, and processes that empower developers to deliver high-quality software faster and more reliably. The Engineering Manager II will own key parts of the SDLC, driving improvements in CI/CD, build infrastructure, testing frameworks, or release automation to create an exceptional engineering experience that scales with the organization.
Requirements
- You have experience with monorepos, CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
- You have experience working with one or more of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, or Rust.
- Experience working with Bazel is strongly preferred.
- Excited and engaged about defining the future SDLC powered by Gen AI advancement
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and technical direction for a part of the SDLC organization in partnership with staff engineers and cross-team leaders relying on our internal platforms
- Oversee project planning, execution, and technical quality, ensuring operational excellence and system reliability

- You're comfortable managing geographically distributed teams (across the Americas & Europe), and you have experience managing other managers.
