Requirements

• Hands-on experience with model offline development and online serving
• Hands-on experience with large-scale online e-commerce systems is preferred
• Full ads funnel knowledge that’s from bidding and budgeting systems all the way to ads retrieval and allocation is preferred
• Strong software engineering, mathematical and analytical skills
• Experience with machine learning techniques

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for our ads intelligence products, shaping the future of advertiser experiences on Pinterest
• Lead your team in building scalable products, applying state-of-art machine learning techniques to enhance ads intelligence at Pinterest, including budget allocation, media planning, campaign recommendations, lead generation, and churn prevention
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers and engineers across the company to deliver end-to-end advertiser facing ads products
• Mentor and develop machine learning engineers at all levels, setting clear technical vision, guiding daily execution, and fostering a strong, healthy team culture
• Establish and uphold high standards for code quality, system design, and operational excellence within your team

Other

• MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field
• 6+ years of industry experience
• 1+ years of management experience
• Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
• In-office collaboration 1-2 times/month, and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle
