Encova Insurance is looking to transform its traditional infrastructure operations into a modern Infrastructure-as-a-Platform model using PaaS and IaC principles to enable and upskill the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and experience working within a PaaS model in infrastructure space.
- Hands-on understanding of IaC, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution from traditional infrastructure delivery to Infrastructure as a Platform.
- Drive standardization, automation, and reusability across compute, storage, network, and middleware layers.
- Promote self-service and DevOps-friendly platforms to enhance speed, scalability, and user experience.
- Guide adoption of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud-native services.
- Ensure operational excellence, security, and compliance across all platform components.
- Monitor performance and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of the platform
- Apply AWS FinOps principles to manage and optimize cloud spend across infrastructure services.

- Mentor and guide a team of infrastructure engineers through the transition to platform engineering roles.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, cloud-native thinking, and automation-first mindset.
- Set clear goals and development plans to help team members gain proficiency in PaaS, IaC, and cloud services.
- Act as a coach to support emotional and professional adaptability during the transformation.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in leading infrastructure engineering teams in a transformation or modernization context
