Texas A&M University's Cyclotron Institute needs a Manager of Research Compliance to ensure all research activities adhere to federal, state, and institutional regulations, funding agency guidelines, and accreditation standards, while also developing and implementing training to promote responsible research practices.
Requirements
- Six years of related experience.
- Master’s degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Science, Radiological Health, Radiological Protection, or Radiological Science.
- Experience managing compliance programs in research or higher education setting.
- Knowledge of federal and state research compliance regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations to a variety of research contexts.
- Skill in developing and delivering training programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the research compliance programs for the Cyclotron Institute.
- Ensure that all research involving radiation, human participants, or other regulated areas adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
- Develop and implement procedures for compliance review, approval, and oversight.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Create, update, and enforce policies and procedures related to research compliance.
- Develop and coordinate training programs for faculty, staff, and students on regulatory requirements and institutional expectations.
- Ensure that compliance education materials remain current with federal and state regulations.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Science, Radiological Health, Radiological Protection, Radiological Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift and/or move moderate weight objects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.
