Boston Dynamics is seeking a Software Manager to lead a team of engineers focused on software for hardware diagnostics, calibration, and testing of the Stretch warehouse robot to enhance and develop new capabilities for automated factory acceptance tests, design validation tests, health checks, and hardware fault management
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software development in a production environment
- 2+ years in an engineering management or technical lead role, providing day-to-day guidance
- Knowledge of robot hardware components
Responsibilities
- Guide technical development, including requirements, architecture, design/code reviews, testing, and integration
- Contribute to roadmap and planning activities
- Manage team task prioritization, progress tracking, and communication
- Mentor team members, managing performance and career development
Other
- BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor software engineers
