JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to guide multiple teams to success within the Consumer and Community Banking Team, Operations Technology - Service Product, and establish direction for team output, practices, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in modern programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Java and Spring Boot
  • Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based applications and services
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Practical experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and ECR (Elastic Container Registry) for container orchestration and management
  • Experience in front end development, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Reacts JS
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
  • Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
  • Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
  • Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Experience leading technology projects
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
