JPMorgan Chase within the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology Analytics Team is looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team and manage day-to-day implementation activities, ensuring work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- 5+ years of hands on experience developing in Python
- 2+ years of hands on experience developing in Java
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Practical cloud native experience (AWS)
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to a small team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Engage in hands-on design, building, and maintenance of software solutions
- Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manage stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Contribute to the build of components and features

- Set the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Ability to manage a small team of 3+ junior developers
