MTA Headquarters is looking for a Manager, Product Development – Database Administrator to oversee the development and maintenance of product lifecycles for various products, including Corp Finance, Legal, Enterprise Asset Management, Workforce Products, and Transportation Intelligent Systems, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with digital strategies.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Administration
- Strong SQL Server experience
- Cloud Data
- Experience managing a team of DBA’s
- Expert in deep understanding of technology.
- Strong ability to develop and implement enterprise product solutions.
- 5-8 years of database management experience preferred primarily with Oracle and Microsoft SQL server.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of database administrators (DBAs) assigned to design, build, and maintain one or more product lines.
- Oversees staff workload and quality of work, addressing performance issues when needed.
- Implements the product vision and strategy into the product development team’s work.
- Identifies potential risks to the product and develops mitigation strategies.
- Manages product initiatives are completed on time and within budget.
- Translates strategies and policies into operational plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Develops, manages, and monitors system support processes to maintain product quality and sustainability.
Other
- This position is eligible for telework which is currently two days per week.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of DBAs, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Expert leadership in leading change by developing inter/intra team communication and cohesiveness; sustainment of culture and supporting staff during organizational growth/changes.
- Expert leadership in driving results by meeting organizational goals and customer expectations and make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks.
- Bachelor’s degree. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
