Caterpillar Inc. is looking to solve the problem of delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies, with a focus on aftermarket parts sales and profitability, New Product Introduction (NPI) support, Intellectual Property (IP) protection, inventory management, and repair option and services strategies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of drivetrain, electrical, and electrification components and applications
  • Experience in field-based roles, working directly with dealers and customers
  • NPI, CPI, and/or continuous improvement process experience
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques
  • Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
  • Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall aftermarket strategy for ePowertrain and ePower Source components, ensuring health and profitability (parts growth, inventory, margin optimization, kitting and contributing to parts marketing initiatives)
  • Manage the IP strategy for E+ES with emphasis on managing processes related to invention capture sessions, patent review boards, IP inclusion into NPI, and contract management
  • Own the execution and strategy for all E+ES Repair Options required for all sales channels (services and retail)
  • Own and manage the AGG process to drive sound decisions in the areas of branding, agreements, IP, supply strategy and prognostics
  • Ensure all NPI programs receive proper Aftermarket coverage within the NPI process
  • Work with Prime Product groups to ensure our component strategies align with their aftermarket goals

Other

  • 4-year college degree, preferably Engineering or Business
  • Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success
  • Travel requirements may be less than 25%
