Coursera is looking to improve its instructional content infrastructure and learner experience by defining strategy and roadmaps for scalability, localization, and accessibility, and driving innovation in content formats and delivery, including AI-powered modalities, to deepen learner engagement and retention.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product management, including 1–2+ years managing or mentoring PMs or leading through influence.
- Demonstrated success delivering infrastructure-heavy or platform-scale features that impact user experience or engagement.
- Track record of executing cross-functional product initiatives with Engineering, Design, and Research.
- Proficiency in developing strategy, aligning stakeholders, and translating vision into roadmap.
- Experience working with AI technologies, content pipelines, or education/learning platforms preferred.
- Experience leading product teams in learning tech, content platforms, or media delivery systems.
- Strong product judgment with a deep understanding of user-centric design and funnel optimization.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and roadmap for instructional content infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, localization, and accessibility in partnership with Engineering, Design, Research, and Data Science.
- Drive innovation in content formats and delivery, including emerging AI-powered instructional modalities, to deepen learner engagement and retention across web and mobile platforms.
- Translate complex product strategies into actionable roadmaps and deliverables that drive core success metrics like engagement and retention.
- Leverage AI where appropriate to enhance both the product experience and internal authoring/operations tooling.

- Manage and mentor a small team of PMs, supporting their growth through clear development goals, regular feedback, and career pathing.
