Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Product Support Manager to lead a team supporting their Interior Evacuation Slide products, aiming to resolve escalated complex technical problems, drive continuous improvement, and optimize product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of Evacuation and/or Life raft systems
  • Experience in customer-facing technical support roles
  • Strong understanding of engineering changes, field issues, and their commercial impact
  • Experience defining, tracking, and documenting multi-disciplinary project tasks (schedule, resources, budget/cost)
  • Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) and Teamcenter
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, CORE, Six Sigma)
  • Familiarity with aftermarket technical manuals (CMM, AMM, VSB, SIL, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • resolve escalated complex technical problems
  • provides oversight to technical analysis and customer training
  • drives continuous improvement initiatives
  • manages high-visibility technical inquiries
  • collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize product reliability and customer satisfaction
  • ensuring exceptional product support of the Interior’s Evacuation Slide products, which includes on aircraft evaluations, training, entry into service support; field deployments, field issues root cause and corrective actions, and general technical support questions to the end-use customer
  • monitoring and controlling reliability performance of fielded product and providing a feedback loop into the design organization

Other

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience working in the Commercial Aerospace industry
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and supplier relationships through effective communication and by fostering a culture of trust and mutual respect.
