Children's Mercy's Developmental and Behavioral Health Services needs administrative support to efficiently process patient referrals, manage waitlists, and maintain community resource databases to ensure high-quality, timely care for children and teens with developmental, psychiatric, or psychological concerns.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- gathering necessary patient information to ensure referrals are processed properly
- maintaining community resources and service waitlist databases
- triage and respond to communication from referring providers and patients and families
- composing and typing routine correspondence and/or reports
- completing administrative projects such as creating and updating databases
- scheduling appointments for patients within the division
- checking insurance to ensure proper coverage for services
