Newport News Shipbuilding is looking to solve the problem of ensuring the quality and safety of their nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines by hiring a Quality Assurance Certification and Audit team lead.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA 0924-062-0010 (SUBSAFE Requirements Manual) and supporting documentation and instructions
- Broad understanding of SUBSAFE, FBW SCS, and DSS-SOC work
- Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance
Responsibilities
- OQE and Material Marking Validation of SUBSAFE work
- Daily management of a team of certifiers
- Ownership of the NNS review process
- Development of a strategic training plan to cover certification of VCS and CLB work
- Communication of program Key Performance Indicators and the overall health of the process
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Serving as the face of the O04 SUBSAFE VCS/CLB review process to SUPSHIP-NN and NAVSEA auditors
Other
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience
- Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to work with the entire internal value stream
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
