Hexure is looking to evolve its Quality Assurance team from a primarily manual-testing organization to an automation-first organization to improve the quality of customer-facing features in the Life Insurance and Annuities applicant workflow space.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of QA/QE methodologies, standards, and frameworks
  • Proficiency in creating and managing QA processes and documentation.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of testing tools and automation frameworks such as Selenium, cucumber JIRA, TestRail, Postman – Katalon experience highly preferred.
  • Some experience with backend testing, APIs, database, SQL, Postman is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-based tools, such as Copilot for coding or test case writing, end-user LLM help-bots, or LLMs for embedded decision support and in-product recommendations, a plus (ChatGPT, OpenAI, Copilot)
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, or any Engineering/STEM, and/or some Programming/Software Development experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA processes and standards, including a longer term evolution to an automation-first organization.
  • Define and enforce testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing processes, to ensure deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of manual and automated test cases, across a broad-range of functional and technical use-cases, from complex, multi-page data entry workflows to penny-precise actuarial calculations.
  • Lead/drive testing for 3rd party integrations over API and flat-file, understand these integrations, authorization/certificates, etc.
  • Collaborate with developers, solutions consultants, and other stakeholders to define testing and sign-off criteria.
  • Continuously improve workflows and tools to increase efficiency.
  • Stay updated on emerging QA/QE technologies and trends.

Other

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of QA/QE professionals responsible for Hexure’s client-facing implementations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate ongoing training and development to enhance team capabilities.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to QA Analysts and Senior QA Analysts.
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams, such as Strategic Account Management and Client Delivery Vertical Leads and Project Managers, to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships. In some cases, you may be the senior Hexure team member on the call and your ability to re-assure, influence, and communicate with our clients is essential.
  • 9-12 years’ experience in Quality and 5+ years directly managing teams of Quality Assurance Analysts or SDET.
  • Life Insurance and Annuities proficiency highly preferred, FinTech / HealthTech / InsTech experience is also beneficial.
