Kobalt is looking to enhance its understanding of emerging music metrics and improve its Deal Evaluation process by analyzing streaming data, airplay, and social media performance to identify high-potential talent, assess artist growth, and evaluate song performance.
Requirements
- Experience working with streaming or research data analytics in A&R.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable handling large sets of data.
- Experience in music publishing or interest in analytics
- Knowledge of or interest in learning music business
Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, and explore a variety of music data, and construct new methods to draw insights using data for Latin America and Mexico.
- Research global industry trends, emerging digital services providers, and social media platforms.
- Develop and manage detailed client analysis reports for internal review to support client evaluation and deal structuring by pulling catalog information, organizing and summarizing statement data (PRO and Publishing), as well as completing a top works and futures’ creative works analysis model.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Business Affairs to support client evaluation and deal structuring.
- Maintain and update a weekly release tracker for Client Managers (WPR) team to ensure songs are queried/registered

- You are a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines.
- A creative vision with a deep love of music & artist development, producers and songwriters & trends as well as an understanding of the music landscape.
