Requirements
- Subject matter expert in the domain of physics-based modeling & computational engineering coupled with demonstrated knowledge of systems-level engineering
- Experience in the areas of Data center infrastructure, Sustainability, Energy and/or Data Science
Responsibilities
- Grow and lead physics-based and digital modeling as a core functionality within our Data Centers
- Lead your team as a highly technical and an effective people manager
- Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area
- Support the research scientist on the team to apply their work in our Data Center lifecycle and drive business outcome
- Independently lead cross-functional programs while utilizing external research collaborations
- Work with your team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy
- Drive roadmap creation and execution
Other
- PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in applied research or engineering
- 7+ years of proven experience in recruiting and managing teams spanning from recent PhD graduates to experienced applied researchers, including conducting performance management cycles
- Proven experience in leading and conducting problem-focused research and effectively implementing the results in a business environment
- Experience driving internal stakeholders to consensus
