T-Mobile is looking for a Manager of Software Development to lead a team responsible for the Commissions domain, a critical platform that manages compensation for all sales channels. The goal is to ensure successful execution of initiatives across various platforms and technologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an individual contributor in software development (backend emphasis preferred).
- 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role overseeing engineering teams.
- Expertise in enterprise platforms and backend systems.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in fast-paced settings.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, AZURE, RDS).
- Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot application ecosystems.
- Background in integrating data from APIs and enterprise services
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop high performing teams of full-time engineers and vendor consultants.
- Direct the delivery of multiple software development initiatives within the Commissions platform.
- Provide technical guidance and context to backend teams to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Manage priorities and project delivery using Agile Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and vendor partners to achieve delivery timelines and quality targets.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.

- This position will sit in Bellevue, WA. This is not a remote role - this is a hybrid environment requiring 3 days a week in office.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders to align solutions with organizational goals.
- Proven background in telecom or commissions systems.
- Demonstrated success managing delivery across both in-house and vendor teams.
