The role is to lead and mentor an engineering team responsible for Workday's core communications platform, guiding them to design and deliver a highly scalable framework for handling large message volumes across multiple channels.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing software applications
- 8+ years of experience with design and development using an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C, C++, etc.
- Proven experience in people management with a passion for mentoring engineers, guiding career growth, and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Experience leading teams that have built and maintained large-scale, high-throughput systems, preferably within the communications or messaging domain
- Strong architectural background with the ability to guide teams in making sound technical trade-offs for scalable, resilient, and well-tested software.
- An understanding of the landscape of enterprise communications, including regulatory requirements and security considerations.
- Experience with ERP application development or working within a large-scale enterprise SaaS environment is a plus.
