Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Manager Software Engineering to lead and guide a team of embedded software engineers, ensuring the successful design, development, testing, and deployment of critical software systems for launch vehicles. This role involves both functional management and direct technical contributions to ensure program success and technological advancement.
Requirements
- Object Oriented (OO) Software development experience in C/C++on Linux environment
- embedded real-time software development, debug and test
- Experience with real time operating systems (RTOS) environments including VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or other equivalent RTOS
- Experience with full software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience with Linux hosted application development.
- Demonstrated experience with real-time systems.
- Demonstrated experience with hardware/software interface development and integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
