Northrop Grumman's Missions Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of approximately 30 professionals in support of microelectronic foundry operations, requiring a proven track record in agile environments, managing multiple software portfolios, and fostering high-performing teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years management experience.
  • Prior agile software team leadership experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, verifying, and qualifying software products with software and systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of Dev*Ops principles and tools—specifically Git source control knowledge and Atlassian Suite (Jira, BitBucket, etc.) knowledge.
  • Prior experience leading or playing a key role in efforts involving Digital Transformation implementation/proliferation.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional software engineering team working within agile scrum frameworks.
  • Oversee the planning, development, and delivery of software solutions that support foundry operations.
  • Develop and execute project strategies, ensuring effective portfolio management and timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Establish performance metrics, monitor progress, and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity.
  • Drive innovation and maintain deep technical and operational understanding of microelectronic foundry processes.
  • Manage and deliver staffing and reporting status and metrics to ATL leadership.
  • Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result and provide direction to resolve priorities to achieve goals.
