Cox Automotive's Inventory Management organization is looking to solve large scale problems by adding an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead their software engineering team in Austin, TX.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience architecting large software solutions.
- Demonstrate experience executing Agile methods for software product development.
- Experience with a wide range of software architectures, platforms, and tools including: REST APIs, AWS, CI/CD, Design patterns, etc.
- Very strong business analysis, system analysis, or product analysis skills.
- Ability to lead a team to turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative development.
- Strong focus on delivering high quality, scalable products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications and services using C and .NET technologies.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, contributing to the critical areas of the codebase in C when needed, while fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Leads a team to provide high-quality, maintainable software that meets business and technology needs.
- Work with your team to plan, design, implement and operationalize innovations and improvements to existing programs.
- Work with your team to continually improve their processes and develop best practices for agile development that delivers value to our stakeholders.
- Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.
- Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise.
