Pennymac is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their Digital Reporting and Finance team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that delivers critical financial and operational insights to senior leadership, finance teams, and business analysts.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python
- Proven expertise with AWS, including services for ETL/ELT and microservices such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Batch
- Experience with data modeling (e.g., Conceptual, Logical, Dimensional).
- Experience with orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
- Experience with distributed-computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build resilient, scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Design and maintain data models and data warehousing solutions to support high-performance analytics and business intelligence needs.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of all datasets, from raw data to business-facing dashboards and reports.
- Drive continuous process improvements and implement technical coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Lead code-review sessions and guide the team in adopting best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of talented data engineers, fostering their professional growth and maximizing the team's impact.
