Bloomin Brands is looking to solve the problem of delivering critical cloud/in-restaurant applications and services by leading cross-functional teams of developers, outsourced partners, and analysts.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of well-known design patterns and the importance of using them
- Familiarity with current AI/ML technology trends such as RAG, MCP, Agentic RAG, Agentic AI, etc
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms with a strong desire to stay current on changing technologies and trends
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud and on-prem solutions
- Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices architecture
- Recent experience in a collaborative Agile working environment (Scrum preferred)
- Expert-level understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies
Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation and execution of technology strategy and roadmap
- Work closely with the Product Owners, and other technology leaders and architects to deliver results on-time and within budget
- Work collaboratively with outsourcing partners to design scalable, secure, high-performing solutions
- Review code, as necessary, to ensure conformity with industry standard best practices and in line with well-known and established design patterns
- Guide the team in the selection and application of appropriate design patterns for different scenarios
- Manage and oversee QA processes, including testing strategies, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that systems designed and implemented are resilient, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective
Other
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a prior development/engineering role
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position possessing demonstrable leadership qualities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
