Requirements
- Strong technical background – you can review code, debug issues, and guide architectural decisions
- Experience with distributed systems and full-stack development (mobile, web, backend)
- Experience with payment systems or financial products
- Track record of building products from concept to launch
Responsibilities
- Directly manages software development projects (including program management) and execution through individual contributors.
- Implements processes to drive strong operational hygiene for all components and systems within their group
- Responsible for the delivery of projects, including quality and timeliness, that impact their domain and potentially one other
- Demonstrates strong tactical ability by managing the roadmap for a scrum team responsible for technical issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business or tends
- Analyzes multiple sources of information and identifies & resolves complex technical, operational, and organizational problems relating to software development.
- Own technical strategy for your area – making architecture decisions that balance current needs with future growth
- Maintain high engineering standards while moving fast – code reviews, testing strategies, and operational excellence

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Lead a team of 8-20 engineers building and scaling commerce features used by millions of people and businesses daily
- Partner with product, design, and business teams to turn ideas into shipped features that solve real customer problems
- Develop your engineers through regular one-on-ones, career planning, and creating opportunities for them to grow
- Make informed trade-offs between competing priorities and communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders
- Build team culture that encourages innovation, ownership, and learning from both successes and failures
- 2+ years managing engineering teams, ideally in consumer products or fintech
