Henry Schein ONE is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead teams in building high-availability, global solutions for consumers and enterprises, specifically for their Patient Experience and Analytics Solution. The goal is to elevate deployment frequency and technical practices to solve real problems for users and their patients while managing technical debt, bugs, innovation, and team growth.

Requirements

  • Proven technical expertise with modern development practices; able to contribute both code and architecture guidance
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration
  • Experience connecting with internal and third-party services
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Languages and Frameworks: PHP using Laravel and Symfony
  • Frontend: JavaScript, Vue.js, React, Angular
  • Database: Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB, MS SQL

Responsibilities

  • Lead mission focused teams of software engineers to improve the lives of Henry Schein One users and their patients through the creation of market-leading solutions
  • Oversee team leaders and support them in fulfilling their mission and delivery commitments
  • Enable your teams to practice continuous delivery at scale by identifying and removing workflow roadblocks
  • Ensure products are secure, compliant and reliable for Henry Schein One customers
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on the vision and strategy for your workstreams and products
  • Partner with Product leadership to influence and understand the strategic goals of your teams
  • Enable process and practice maturity to deliver on global growth opportunities

Other

  • 7+ years of progressive software development experience, including 2+ years leading high-performing teams in remote or hybrid environments
  • Experience balancing leadership and delivery in a player-coach capacity, with a path toward full management
  • Strong people leadership skills: mentoring, coaching, and supporting career development at individual and team-lead levels, including the ability to address performance issues thoughtfully and directly when needed
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable
