Nike is looking to solve the problem of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions across their product and consumer platforms by hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, drive technical excellence, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • deep expertise in modern backend and/or frontend technologies
  • Expertise in at least one or more cloud platforms like AWS
  • Expertise in at least one or more software programming languages such as Typescript, Python, React and Node
  • Proven track record of successful software execution and delivery
  • A passion for clean architecture, scalable systems, and continuous improvements
  • Experience working in agile environments and driving engineering best practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining critical services and platforms.
  • Drive technical excellence and operational rigor across the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to define and deliver innovative solutions that meet business and user needs.
  • Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and performance optimization.
  • Foster a culture of learning, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with a strong track record of mentorship, team development, hiring and software delivery
