Solipsys, Managed by Collins Aerospace, is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to develop new software capabilities and products for the global aerospace and defense industry, specifically focusing on integrated Network Centric Warfare solutions, Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.
Requirements
- 8 years experience with C++ and/or Java.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval.
- Direct hands on individual experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgresql, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Typescript, HTML/CSS, among many other programming languages and related technologies.
- Experience developing, assessing and validating complex mathematical solutions such as track filters, track correlation algorithms, and weapon engagement algorithms, for sensors and/or C2 programs.
- Drive adoption of the best engineering practices, including the use of design patterns, CI/CD, code review and automated integration testing.
- Experience with managing cyber security processes including vulnerability assessments.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Develop new software capabilities within the Solipsys Product Line using software programming languages such as Java, C++, TypeScript, etc.
- Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to coordinate the activities of multiple engineers working on a wide range of programs, ensuring successful technical execution and delivery of solutions for the customer.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies to increase software development productivity and support strategic product development.
- Support proposal development, including technical solution, price, and schedule content.
