Unity Technologies is looking for an experienced manager to lead the XR Devices engineering team to ensure the Unity Engine and Editor are on every major platform where users need real-time content, specifically focusing on building and maintaining Unity's support for the latest cutting-edge XR devices.
Requirements
- Proven technical knowledge and experience working with AR/VR/XR platforms
- Expertise as a software engineer, and a working familiarity with C++ and C-Sharp
- Ability to assimilate and understand a large and complex software product
- Understanding of the OpenXR standard, or a track record of working with open standards
- Familiarity with real time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs including Vulkan
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the near-term execution and technical strategy for the team
- Collaborate internally with other core Unity engineering and graphics teams
- Communicate your team's vision and progress internally and externally
- Support the members of your engineering team as they advance in their career goals
- Build and maintain Unity's support for the latest cutting edge devices from Head Mounted Displays to Augmented Reality glasses
- Attract, develop and retain high quality engineering talent from new college graduates to tenured, senior engineers
- Shape software that is loved and used by millions, and leading the engineers who build and maintain it

- Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with external partners to achieve alignment on technical specifications and interdependencies
- A passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences in a variety of settings
- Expertise leading using Agile development methodologies
- Experience leading distributed teams
