Apple is looking to solve the problem of delivering high-quality software features that perform at their best for customers across the globe, by hiring a Manager & Software Integrity Engineer to lead and mentor a team of engineers and contribute to ensuring the company delivers amazing software features.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience diagnosing and triaging software issues
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript for both personal productivity and guiding team automation efforts
  • Experience with bug/issue ticketing systems and workflow optimization
  • Deep understanding of bug triage processes and software development lifecycle in a large-scale environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with diverse engineering and product teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify both immediate issues and systemic patterns
  • Experience managing and mentoring a technical team, including performance management and career development

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of impactful decision makers, problem solvers, debuggers, and engineers
  • Personally investigate and analyze critical issues to help ship great software to users of all Apple hardware
  • Screen and triage incoming bug reports, analyze logs, and prioritize user feedback
  • Identify emerging trends and empower the team to communicate these insights from issues filed by Apple employees, external developers, and users
  • Drive strategy and execution for improving team efficiency through building, maintaining, and adopting automation tools
  • Define team goals, establish clear metrics for success, ensure alignment with organizational objectives, and personally contribute to achieving those goals through hands-on technical work
  • Participate in critical bug triage work that defines the team

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; 2 years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability and willingness to strictly manage time spent on both individual contributions and team oversight
