McDonald's is looking to enhance its My Rewards program by expanding how customers earn rewards beyond food purchases, focusing on gamification, social incentives, engagement-based mechanics, and third-party partnerships to drive deeper customer participation and create more engaging digital QSR experiences.
Requirements
- 5 plus years of experience in Mobile App Development, Software Delivery, Engineering or Architecture
- Software Development and/or Solution Architecture experience
- Familiarity with Swift and/or Kotlin
- Familiarity with Mobile Development (iOS and Android)
- Proficient in collaborative programming, continuous integration, iterative design, and incremental development
- Experience in Agile Development methodologies, with practical application across the Product Development Lifecycle
- Bring experience in one or more of the following: Large scale implementation of an ecommerce, Loyalty & Rewards, and martech ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- lead the end-to-end development of capabilities that seamlessly integrate third-party reward earn into the McDonald’s digital ecosystem.
- Develop and launch the capabilities that allow loyalty customers to earn points, and/or access benefits with third-party partners, ensuring seamless customer interactions.
- Design scalable, flexible technical solutions that can be adopted globally while allowing for local market configuration.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Architecture teams to build an integration framework that makes it easy for partners to onboard.
- Attend all squad level ceremonies and act as the leader of the Software Development Engineers (SDE’s) of the respective squad.
- Partner with Product Manager to lead the entire lifecycle of the backlog grooming process
- Ensure that delivered solutions are in line with architectural specifications, quality standards, and security standards.

- Experience leading a team of Product Engineers to deliver digital products with measurable results
- Experience working in a global organization, preferably franchised and in the consumer/retail sector
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical decisions to non-technical collaborators
- Have a proven ability to inspire and manage high-performing engineering teams, especially if you enjoy building teams’ problem-solving skills and engineering competency
- Effectively communicate your vision, strategy, and progress to drive alignment across the organization, to both technical and non-technical audiences
