Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Management team is looking for a UI Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the customer-facing platform, Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, ensuring a consistent user experience and developing a shared design foundation and reusable UI components.
Requirements
- Experience with enabling UI development and UX design collaboration to reach the best end user experiences.
- Technical experience in UI development is a plus
- Experience with agile and comfortable with rapid iteration and fast delivery
Responsibilities
- Lead an inclusive and high-performance team of engineers to deliver the UI platform for console.redhat.com
- Be responsible for technical deliverables, capacity planning, and growth; and own any solutions delivered by the team and be responsible for feature completion, quality, and performance
- Design and deliver flexible and scalable solutions aligned with the Red Hat strategy, including working closely with the PatternFly team
- Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.
- developing a shared and consistent design foundation, a library of re-usable user interface components and a set of tools that allow console.redhat.com teams to build interfaces using modern web standards.
Other
- 3+ years of experience managing a globally distributed software engineering team
- 6+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to present to stakeholders, and conduct priority tradeoffs and scope negotiations
- Great interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building effective working relationships and a psychologically safe work environment, enabling a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the leadership ability to gain buy-in or acceptance in regard to change
