Lockton is seeking a strategic and experienced Managing Director to lead their Analytics & Insights practice, aiming to drive growth, innovate offerings, ensure flawless delivery, and advise complex clients.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with actuarial concepts and review practices; ASA/FSA credential preferred (or equivalent experience) and ability to quality check actuarial deliverables
  • Deep fluency in benefits financial modeling (rate setting, contribution modeling, trend/variance analysis, forecasting), benchmarking, and executive level storytelling with data
  • Proficiency with advanced Excel; working knowledge of statistical/analytical tools and BI visualization (e.g., Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the Analytics & Insights vision, roadmap, and operating model; translate strategy into execution plans, and measurable outcomes across client value, growth, quality, and team success.
  • Shape the practice capabilities (advanced analytics, financial modeling, forecasting, benchmarking, reporting, and decision support) and champion innovation, strategic consulting, and data governance.
  • Serve as a consulting actuary for a select portfolio of complex clients; synthesize insights, advise on plan design, funding, risk/stop loss strategies, and multi year benefits financial strategy.
  • Oversee methodology and a peer review structure for analytics deliverables (e.g., rate setting, contribution modeling, IBNR, trend analyses, scenario modeling, and performance dashboards) to ensure accuracy, clarity, and decision alignment.
  • Develop delivery models for analytics offerings; forecast pipeline capacity and manage engagements for client satisfaction.
  • Establish operating processes, best practices, templates, and standards for consistent, high quality client service and deliverables.
  • Partner with series and national leaders to shape actuarial and financial strategies, tool development, and defining Lockton’s perspectives on emerging approaches and innovative solutions.

  • Proven track record driving growth, improving margins, and elevating client satisfaction through analytics led solutions and high performing teams.
  • 12+ years in employee benefits analytics/financial consulting, health actuarial consulting, or closely related domains; 7+ years leading multi disciplinary teams and managers
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into operational execution.
  • Demonstrated success advising large, complex employers (5,000+ employees) on plan design, pricing/funding strategies, reserves, underwriting principles, and stop loss.
  • Exceptional people leadership: coaching, succession planning, performance management, and team capacity planning.
