Steampunk is seeking a Manual Test Engineer to provide testing and QA expertise in mission critical work across their client base, with a focus on achieving client-focused, mission-driven excellence.
Requirements
- Experience with various types of testing, including data validation testing, functional testing, usability testing, accessibility (508) testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA
- Experience writing test scripts and test reports
- Certifications: CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing), International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification
- Experience with Agile environment
- Experience with application testing
- Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and secure testing practices
Responsibilities
- Testing and verification of code
- Reporting and recording defects
- Coordination with architects, functional analysts, and developers on testing and testing results
- Documenting test scripts
- Participating in design reviews, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities
- Develop and maintain project testing infrastructure
- Write detailed test scripts, test reports, and analyses for the product
Other
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
- BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Attention to detail, ability to follow test plans and scripts, and good time management
- Ability to work in a team environment and participate in scrum ceremonies and product planning activities
