Collins Aerospace is looking for a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer Co-Op to provide a very high level of technical support while keeping a laser focus on excellent quality, aiming to achieve department goals while considering safety, quality, schedule, and cost to determine priorities. The role involves interfacing with production personnel, management, and other support organizations to become familiar with Collins Aerospace products, lean manufacturing objectives, test philosophy, and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
- Analyze product tolerances, part specifications, and test specifications to determine the root cause of test yield drivers.
- Provide failure analysis reports and disposition of nonconforming parts and products.
- Analyze test data using statistical process control analysis skills to proactively reduce test flow inhibitors.
- Study test equipment performance and reliability and establish solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.
- Determine suitable replacement part and test plan for part transitions.
- Develop working knowledge of test systems and hardware.
- Processes and procedures around Mil/Aero manufacturing and test.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Application Engineering and/or Supply Chain to resolve piece-part problems.
- Work with Design Engineering to resolve technical issues that may drive change to the product or test process.
- Analyze test data using statistical process control analysis skills to proactively reduce test flow inhibitors.
- Study test equipment performance and reliability and establish solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.
- Determine suitable replacement part and test plan for part transitions.

- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
