The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer Co-Op will support the Manufacturing support team at Collins Aerospace Manchester, Iowa, by resolving test, product flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues associated with state-of-the-art manufacturing and test techniques. The role aims to provide students with hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing and problem-solving within the aerospace and defense industry.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks Modeling
- Experience with VBA or other scripting languages
- Experience with troubleshooting and testing of electronic equipment
- Experience with schematics and PCB/PWB creation
Responsibilities
- Working along side Mfg Electrical Engineers, test technicians, production floor operators and manufacturing support staff, to resolve test, product flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues associated with state of the art manufacturing and test techniques.
- Collect, prepare, and assist in analyzing test failures for root cause and aid in corrective actions.
- Aid or lead site support initiatives from a technical perspective.
- Aid in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
