Avancez Assembly is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement assembly processes, resolve production issues, and improve efficiency through new technologies and automation.
Requirements
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, Android operations (sequencing, sub-assembly, shipping and receiving, and tooling).
- Strong knowledge of tooling, equipment, automation, engineering specifications, and cost reduction in automotive assembly applications.
- High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills where problems are unusual and difficult.
- Strong decision-making skills with ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
- Proficient with GD&T process diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Working knowledge of IATF quality system.
- High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Development of assembly processes based on customer requirements, quality systems , financial investment and labor plans.
- Manage the implementation of new processes, selection of equipment to be purchased, and timing estimates.
- Resolve issues with quality plans, product design, manufacturability, or build process steps.
- Participate in adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency.
- Consults on and oversees selection and implementation of automation and robotics in assembly processes.
- Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs that will require new equipment or retool of existing equipment.
- Prepare all sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for any major outside tooling and equipment purchases (i.e.; continuity testers, alignment equipment, balancers, uniformity equipment, etc).

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in assembly and/ or manufacturing and 2+ years of experience with APQP system.
