Lockheed Martin's Pike County Operations (PCO) team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Missile Assembly & Robotics) to solve technical issues on the production shop floor, improve manufacturing processes, and integrate innovative technologies to meet next-generation warfighter needs in advanced missile manufacturing.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable of General Manufacturing Processes and Factory Automation Equipment.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills to perform or assist in missile assembly and test along with repairing nonoperating tools and industrial equipment.
- Experience interpreting engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists and specifications to generate manufacturing processes and conduct detailed failure analysis for determining root cause and implementing the corrective / preventative actions to eliminate defects.
- Experience with various robotic applications (collaborative, material removal/finishing, material handling, and painting) in an Aerospace/Automotive Manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of FANUC robotics & controls or equivalent.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES), PTC Creo CAD, Windchill PLM with MPMLink and Systems Applications & Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing engineering data to develop new manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.
- Integrating new assets and technologies into the factory.
- Supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives that drive quality and cost enhancements.
- Investigating root causes of quality defects and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing process equipment and tooling.

- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
- This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
