Developing cost-effective solutions to manufacture cargo handling systems for commercial and military aircraft at Collins Aerospace, a RTX company
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Background in utilizing MS Office, CAD, and some programming experience.
- Some programming background preferred – Python.
- Prefer candidates in Junior year pursuing a degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace) or another related field.
Responsibilities
- You will develop manufacturing planning for cargo system details and assemblies. Core competencies at Jamestown include machining, sheet metal fabrication, processing, painting and assembly (both Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical).
- You will work on the development of Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets (ISWCS) for cargo system assemblies.
- You will participate in Continuous Improvement events to improve flow and linkage, increase point of use, develop standard work, reduce cycle time, and improve EHS and 5S.
- You will work on special projects and tasks as required by the department Manufacturing Engineers.
