L3Harris is seeking an intern to support the Manufacturing and Process team in troubleshooting complex operations and developing planning for the manufacture of rocket warhead components
Requirements
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related major
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process development
- Familiarity with rocket motor components and assembly operations
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing engineering in the troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of insulation components, insulated rocket motor cases, composite rocket motor components, and rocket motor assembly operation
- Originate, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of rocket warhead components
- Perform hands-on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert or energetic components, and development program components and assemblies
- Accurately report problems, solutions, and results in concise written and oral communications

- Candidate must be returning to school upon completion of the assignment
- Must be eligible for a security clearance (U.S. citizens only)
