The manufacturing engineering intern will assist in understanding the relationship between design, build, and operation of manufacturing processes, support project tracking, and contribute to field verification and as-built drawing updates for active construction zones.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Shadow commissioning and startup activities to understand the relationship between design, build, and operation.
- Update project tracking logs (RFIs, submittals, action items) under direction of the Project Engineer.
- Assist in field verification and as-built drawing updates for active construction zones.
- Conducting basic time studies or process flow observations to support layout or throughput analysis.
- Performing equipment tagging, nameplate data collection, and verification against the P&ID or single0line diagrams.
- Supporting material tracking, receiving, and documentation within Fieldwire or SharePoint.
- Helping prepare meeting minutes, photo documentation, and punch list items for construction reviews.
Other
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Duration: Summer 2026.
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- May evolve into a year-round internship based on performance and the needs of the company.
- On-site based at our manufacturing facility in St Joseph, MO.
