Leidos Defense Systems Platform Integration is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to guide and oversee the Manufacturing Engineering department and support all programs.
Requirements
- Experience with MES/ERP/PLM software such as Solumina, Deltek CostPoint, Windchill
- Experience with building and testing launch vehicles, targets, or missile components
- Experience working in a mid to high volume manufacturing environment
- Understanding of lean manufacturing – standard flow, continuous improvement, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
- Familiar with GD&T
- Experience with machining, mechanical, structural, and electronics manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead engineering staff to support all programs
- Ensure the ME Team implements standardization being developed and rolled out by the Functional ME Team
- Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects
- Identify and reduce risks in the production processes
- Plan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation
- Ensure smooth transition of MBOM to Material Planning team
- Support estimating with review of new opportunities
Other
- Manage and lead engineering staff to support all programs
- Oversee budgets for the Manufacturing Engineering team
- Monitor and develop KPI metrics
- Maintain staff at skill level to support all programs
- US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain and/maintain a Final Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in either mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution with at least 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience supervising or leading teams or projects
