Modine is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the development and optimization of production processes for a new plant producing cooling systems for data centers, focusing on scaling manufacturing operations from concept to full production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 2+ in a leadership role.
- Experience supporting a plant start-up/ramp-up is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of lean principles, equipment commissioning, and process development.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of production processes, line layouts, tooling, and work instructions during the plant start-up.
- Collaborate with design engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and smooth new product introduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead capital projects for equipment selection, justification, and installation.
- Establish and monitor process controls and yield metrics.
- Support the ramp-up of new lines and continuous improvement initiatives post-launch.
