Gems Setra, part of Ralliant Corporation, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions in a precision technology manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field required; MBA preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including product and process development.
- 3+ years’ experience managing manufacturing/engineering teams.
- Experience with SolidWorks preferred, other 3D modeling systems a plus.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, process development, and automation.
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, process validation, and Six Sigma analysis.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies including CAD, FMEA, and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the manufacturing engineering team to support production goals and exceed customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment failures by identifying root causes and implementing effective, sustainable solutions.
- Champion improvement initiatives across SQDC metrics, applying lean manufacturing principles and the Ralliant Business System (RBS) toolset.
- Collaborate with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability and support timely product launches.
- Develop and implement robust processes, equipment, and documentation using standard work methodologies.
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, automation, and testing equipment aligned with product and process requirements.
- Lead the creation and execution of PFMEAs, validation protocols, and process qualifications.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field required; MBA preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations.
- The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 10 pounds.
- The associate must also be willing and able to travel by all forms of transportation.
- Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
