The Delfield Company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers to drive the successful execution of projects, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role oversees daily operations, provides technical guidance, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve equipment reliability, and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
- Well-developed project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of technical guidance and problem-solving support for complex engineering issues.
- Using Lean methodologies, identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements in equipment and processes, and potential projects.
- Work with Operations to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Partners with management, production, and Product Management to determine engineering feasibility, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

- Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align engineering activities with business objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource utilization.

- Foodservice equipment industry and experience preferred.
