Requirements
- Working knowledge of engineering and quality tools such as CAD/ProEngineer, PDM, ERP systems, GD&T, QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFA, Reliability Methods, Control Plans, and SPC.
- Strong project management expertise, including scheduling, resource planning, budgeting, scope control, and proficiency in tools such as MS Project.
- Ability to effectively use office automation and communication tools commonly utilized in the MillerKnoll environment.
- Deep understanding of new product development processes with demonstrated success leading teams from concept through implementation.
- Well-rounded business acumen with foundational knowledge in accounting, finance, quality, marketing, and operations.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to motivate and guide engineering teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in project planning, setting clear priorities and expectations.
- Analyze supply chain cost structures, value-stream capabilities, and economic considerations to drive informed recommendations.
- Assign, monitor, and review work for accuracy and completeness while providing technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
- Capture, maintain, and communicate deep technical knowledge to ensure engineering excellence.
- Conceptualize, drive, and implement solutions to highly complex engineering or product issues.
- Identify and implement process or procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as engineering subject matter expert, setting and teaching high standards of technical quality.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of professional engineering experience, with 0–3 years of leadership or people management experience.
- Demonstrated success in increasingly complex engineering roles.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodation.
