Haworth is looking to optimize manufacturing processes and drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in their workspace design and furniture manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- 5 years engineering experience (prefer combination of manufacturing engineering process ownership responsibilities and project engineering)
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with formal problem solving
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Technical expertise in aluminum extrusion processing, including CNC operations, tooling, fixturing, and material handling
- Familiarity with industry standards such as BIFMA and ISO
- Experience in the furniture industry, with an understanding of low-volume, high-variation manufacturing environments

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within engineering processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure financial responsibility.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar field of study
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
