MiTek is looking for a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve manufacturing excellence, ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and innovative products while fostering a culture of quality within their facility.
Requirements
- Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T, ASME/ANSI standards, and CAD tools (PTC Creo/Wildfire preferred).
- Strong background in quality systems, supplier management, inspections, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support, improve, and deploy the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Create and maintain quality documentation, including process flows, SOPs, work instructions, and calibration procedures.
- Manage supplier quality, incoming raw material inspections, and receiving processes.
- Issue and track CAPAs and SCARs, ensuring accountability and progress on corrective actions.
- Develop project documentation using CAD models, 2D drawings, and specifications.
- Implement continuous improvement practices—lean, 5S, and process optimization—that enhance capability and stability.
- Partner with Operations to resolve issues quickly and keep production on track.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; 4+ years of experience in quality or continuous improvement within a manufacturing or machine-shop environment.
- Confident presenting in one-on-one and small group settings, with the ability to coach and train others.
- You’re comfortable moving between office and factory settings, engaging directly with teams on the floor.
- Regular access to the factory is required, where you may be exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes, temperature changes, and operating machinery.
