BetterHelp is looking to solve the business and technical problem of understanding and engaging their users (customers) across channels and geographies by leading research and reporting that informs global and domestic marketing strategy.
Requirements
- Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research
- Strong ability to synthesize findings into clear narratives and actionable insights
- Comfortable using data to validate ideas and inform decisions (experience with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and basic SQL a plus)
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, product, and customer support
Responsibilities
- Lead research on who our customers are — including age groups, needs, pain points, and usage behavior across different marketing channels and geo groups.
- Build and maintain detailed customer personas using real data.
- Own monthly delivery of competitive insights by channel and country/geo group for the broader marketing team.
- Track and analyze competitor activity, consumer trends, and public feedback (e.g., Reddit, Trustpilot, YouTube, TikTok).
- Create and maintain a creative testing tracker to evaluate ad messaging performance across marketing channels and demographics.
- Analyze funnel performance and A/B tests to identify friction points in the user journey.
- Own ongoing research initiatives, including surveys, brand health tracking, and ad-hoc studies.
Other
- 3+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, business analysis, or a related role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for understanding people, asking thoughtful questions, and turning feedback into strategic direction
